Walk through Muong Hoa Valley with a local Hmong guide, stay overnight in our family home in Ta Van, share meals around our table, and spend your second morning learning traditional batik with Mama. This is not a cultural show. It is simply an invitation to spend two days with our family. QUICK INFORMATION Duration: 2 days / 1 night Group size: 1-8 guests Level: Easy to moderate Meeting point: Sapa Stone Church Start time: 9:00 AM Price: from US$115 per guest for groups of 3 or more DAY 1 - WALK INTO OUR VALLEY Please arrive at Sapa Stone Church a little before 9:00 AM. Your guide will meet you there, ask about your walking level and any knee or health problems, and choose a route that suits you and the weather. The walk goes through rice terraces and Hmong villages. Lunch on the way (vegetarian and vegan on request). In the afternoon you arrive at Indigo Snail. Shower, rest, drink tea, help in our kitchen if you like. Then we eat dinner together and you sleep in our home. DAY 2 - BATIK WITH MAMA After breakfast, sit with Mama over tea and learn about Hmong clothing, hemp, beeswax, patterns and indigo. Mama will show you how beeswax draws the pattern on cloth, and you create your own small batik textile piece with her. Our guide can help translate. Some pieces need extra drying or finishing time, depending on the indigo process and the weather. Family lunch, then slow village time: a short walk, the rice fields, more batik or rest. We drive you back to Sapa, finishing around 3:30-4:00 PM. CHOOSE YOUR PACE Easy: shorter walk with transport support. Regular: about 6-8 km, for most guests. More Adventure: a longer trail, when conditions allow.
